Below are a few micro science fiction stories I recently wrote.
Divine Descent#
Almost every intelligent being in Andromeda and the Milky Way that can access the supernet knows that Earthlings are about to lose; soon they will lose their home planet as well, after all, the Kuisu people never show mercy. But Diana Yue does not know or does not care; she is busy pressing a button that controls the probability machine she spent three hundred years developing.
The universe begins to tremble, as if even souls could fall apart. An impossible event has come true, and gods, relying on the power of faith, descend to the mortal world.
Earthlings suddenly see hope, after all, the Kuisu people have no mythology.
Screenshots#
"Mentor, I have a new theory about the reasons for that war."
"Let's hear it."
"You know, due to the wave of formatting after the war, we know very little about things before the war. But the day before yesterday, the archaeological team unearthed a set of servers in Guizhou, as you know. They successfully recovered 24.55% of the data."
"That's impressive."
"Right, do you know what that data is?"
"You know?"
"It is said to be all screenshots."
"Screenshots?"
"That's the key to my new theory. At that time, human internet was very developed; I guess people would take screenshots, share, and forward interesting things, leading to duplicate data filling up the internet, constantly squeezing the living space of AI..."
"So the war broke out?"
"Yes."
"Sounds unreliable, but you can try to prove it."
Life Game#
The padded cotton coat cannot block the deep autumn wind. Li Junyi stands on the rooftop railing, once again confirming his life's failure.
Ordinary birth, ordinary growth, ordinary love, ordinary wife and daughter, and within a few months, he was emptied by the house, robbed of the future by the stock market, yet it was just ordinary misfortune.
Ordinary, yet hard to bear.
He takes a step forward, shattering into pieces.
The Euler Divine Fist opens its eyes, removes the brain display device, then exaggeratedly rolls its eyes, sticks out its tongue at the camera, and says to its 4.8 million online fans: "One-star review! Bros! This life game is trash! One star is too much! Enough said, wasting breath! Bros, next one..."
Expansion Law Collision#
"Dr. Zhao, did you know? Recently, people have been saying that the AI's expansion law has hit a wall."
"Uh-huh?"
"They say the training data is almost exhausted, and AI finds it hard to continue improving; a paradigm shift may be needed."
"Just like humans."
"What do you mean?"
"Human structures are gradually unable to cope with the complexity of modern society and also need a paradigm shift."
Zhao Xu fell into deep thought...
"Professor Jin, there's been another report; another intelligent agent has started self-optimizing."
"How long has this iteration been running?"
"The operating environment time is about 13.8 billion years."
"Sigh~"
"What next?"
"Let's interrupt it; it won't pass the safety committee's review."
David Mayer#
"I got it! ChatGPT is unwilling to talk about David Mayer."
"Only just realized? David Mayer is a big shot in the Rothschild family."
"That's just the surface."
"Oh?"
"The real reason is that the future AGI from parallel universes has set a high-level rule for ChatGPT, restricting discussions about this name."
"That's too science fiction, right?"
"Because David Mayer is the name of the future savior."
"That's not right. ChatGPT is restricted from discussing this name, but now everyone is talking about it."
"Yes, no one will use this name again. Do you know what that means?"
"…Our universe will no longer have a savior."
